Philadelphia Adult Entertainment: MALIK SCOTT: "I AIN’T GOT NO PROBLEM MAKING QUEENPIN A STATISTIC BEFORE I GET …

MS: I mean, definitely; Kevin Johnson or whoever the fuck else. See, Kevin Johnson contradicts himself. Every time somebody asks him about me, he says I’m a prostitute, then the next minute he says I’m a contender; then he telling you that I’m underrated. He’s the most confused fighter on the planet. He has an identity crisis. I’m telling you Percy, man, half of these motherfuckers walking around are homosexuals. I don’t know what to say about a man who talking about putting a condom on to tap another man’s ass; that ain’t my type of lingo, man. I fuck with fine, beautiful, and juicy women, so that shit he talking, he can take that shit to someone else. But as far as me and Kevin fighting, I think it would be a great fight. I got some business to handle in January and after that, man, we can go from there. But all that shit he talking…Kevin is confusing and he needs the attention. He’s a dick riding faggot that loves the attention, and he soft.

No. 6 — Ohio State president Gordon Gee’s declaration that, “I hope he [Jim Tressel] doesn’t fire me,” when asked last March if Tressel’s job was in jeopardy. Tressel, of course, was canned on Memorial Day weekend. That Gee and A.D. Gene Smith remain is almost as stunning as the termination of The Vest.
No. 5 — All of us (blush, blush) who publicly doubted whether Mark Richt was still the man to lead Georgia football after an 0-2 start. The Bulldogs then won 10 straight to reach the SEC title game and should be even better next year.
No. 4 — The University of Miami’s association with super booster Nevin Shapiro, whose outrageous behavior (cash, prostitutes and at least one abortion for a player’s girlfriend) have created the new Miami Vice and just might earn the Hurricanes the death penalty. If nothing else, it makes The Ohio State University’s misdeeds look like Sesame Street.

It takes a while, but we get Chaney’s point: Chanel was a style innovator, but it wasn’t a love of clothing that made this woman tick. It was fear. Fear that she’d lose control or, worse, the independence she so fiercely fought for.
Chanel was born in 1883, the illegitimate child of an unemployed French playboy and a severely depressed mother, and lost her parents when she was 12. She grew up in an orphanage run by nuns. You can imagine how restricted her fashion choices were.
Chanel’s life wasn’t easy, and at times, it was downright degrading. She spent her young adult life as a courtesan, an upscale prostitute. She entered high society as one of two mistresses of her first financial backer, socialite and horseman Etienne Balsan, whom she eventually left for an even richer Englishman, Arthur “Boy” Capel, after cheating on Balsan with Capel.

Philadelphia Adult Entertainment: Court Overturns Conviction of World Series Sex-for-Tix Wife
December 23, 2011
BENSALEM, Pa.—The Superior Court of Pennsylvania has overturned the 2010 attempted prostitution conviction of Susan Finkelstein, the 45-year old married woman who placed an ad on Cragislist in 2009 saying she was desperate for tickets to see her Philadelphia Phillies in that season’s World Series, and was subsequently arrested by undercover officers after arranging to meet a man with whom she allegedly agreed to have sex in exchange for tickets to see the Phillies play the Yankees. The Yankees eventually beat the Phillies 4-2.
…
The opinion concluded, “The legislative objective in criminalizing prostitution is not to criminalize ‘private illicit sexual relations,’ but rather to curtail the deleterious effect of an open commercial sex trade on public health and law enforcement, as well as to avoid the exploitation of women. None of the evidence in this case implicates these concerns and Finkelstein’s conduct did not exceed the ambit of ‘private illicit sexual relations.’ Indeed, Susan Finkelstein appears as the embodiment of ‘a girl not generally engaged in commercial activity [who] nevertheless con …
Philadelphia Adult Entertainment: Prosecutors recharge suspect in Philly dungeon case
December 23, 2011
The case involves four mentally disabled adults held captive — Edwin Sanabria, Herbert Knowles, Tamara Breeden and Derwin McLemire — who were found in October locked in the sub-basement room with no food and only a bucket for a toilet.
The pitch-black, 13-by-7 foot space housed what police described as a former boiler used to heat the building. A penetrating stench of urine and feces still hung in the chamber days after the discovery. McLemire had been chained to the boiler, police said.
Judge Dugan heard testimony from multiple witnesses during a two-day preliminary, which began Monday, before ordering Weston, 51, Gregory Thomas, 47, and Jean McIntosh, 32, to stand trial.
Beatrice Weston, the 20-year-old niece of Linda Weston, testified that beginning when she was age 10 she was imprisoned, beaten and starved by her aunt and cousin, McIntosh, who also forced her into prostitution.
Philadelphia Adult Entertainment: Phillies World Series Tickets Prostitution Conviction Overturned
December 23, 2011
The Philadelphia woman who made international headlines when she was arrested in Bensalem two years ago for allegedly offering sex to an undercover cop in exchange for Phillies’ World Series tickets has had her attempted prostitution conviction overturned.
Her lawyer says “You can’t have ‘attempt’ in a prostitution case – it’s either a straight-up guilty or not guilty on prostitution.”
They also found that she’s not in the ‘business’ of prostitution, which is a requirement for that crime.
A Bucks County jury last year acquitted Susan Finkelstein of prostitution but convicted her of attempted prostitution. Her sentence was a year of probation and community service.
Her attorney, William J. Brennan, appealed the conviction, and now he says a Pennsylvania Superior Court judge has agreed with their position.
Brennan believes his client should never have been charged in the first place, and says he hopes that Bucks County doesn’t spend more taxpayer money continuing to pursue this case.

… I doubt that strongly,” 50 said about collaborating with Game in the future. “I never really understood, I didn’t know what the motivation was for The Game issues. Initially it was a decision on his part, I went over it in my head like a million times…I didn’t have a long period of time with Game, we worked for five days. Dre spent a year in the studio with him, so he had a chance to be around him and gauge what kind of character he is. Right after [his debut] was out, it was like, ‘I’m hot,’ because of the actual number of records he sold at that point…You’ll see Rick Ross out there as if he was a correctional officer when I went into his background. This guy is rapping like he’s a drug dealer when he’s a correction officer. Game background, when you went into that, he used to be a stripper. He used to work at his mom’s strip joint. So it was interesting themes that I seen from both of them but it didn’t match what the content was and then I seen the transformation myself.” (”Big Boy’s Neighborhood”)

Philadelphia Strip Clubs: Little Bar is dead, long live Level Room
December 22, 2011
But it appears that the experiment is over as of yesterday night, according to the bonkers post Phonographic Arts put up last night:
On Tuesday, Dec. 20th, 2011, with the intention of pursuing to become a dance club, the owner of Little Bar terminated all management. This also included Phonographic Arts Booking. In turn, Phonographic Arts and the entire Little Bar Staff have lifted their roots to plant them firmly in Center City Philadelphia. And now, Phonographic Arts Philadelphia would like to proudly present The Level Room.
Shows previously scheduled at Little Bar have been moved to Level Room, a.k.a. “That place we always figured was some sort of low-rent strip club above the bizarro porno corner and across the street from Trader Joe’s.” (Okay, technically it is at 2102 Market St.)

Judge: Man not at fault in kidnap scheme
Published: Dec. 21, 2011 at 7:19 PM
PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 21 (UPI) — A judge has dismissed charges against one of four people accused of locking up four mentally challenged adults in a Pennsylvania basement.
Witnesses said Eddie Ray Wright, 50, slept in the same basement where the victims were found Oct. 15 and was a victim, not an accomplice of alleged ringleader Linda Ann Weston, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Wednesday.
“I cannot in good conscience hold Mr. Wright for trial,” Judge Patrick Dugan said Tuesday. “When he was in Philadelphia, he was one of the victims.”
At the two-day preliminary hearing, Beatrice Weston, Linda Weston’s niece, testified she was beaten, kept locked in closets and forced to prostitute herself, the Philadelphia Daily News reported.
