The as-yet-unnamed establishment would not be an ordinary strip club, according to the proposal.
“The objective here is to have something high-scale,” said attorney Michael Daley, representing owner Perry Stamelos. “Not a strip club with totally nude performances that go on in those places.”
Planning Board attorney Mike Fitzgerald said the location, currently a restaurant and banquet hall, is zoned for nightclubs and entertainment.
There is nothing about the proposal that requires a variance to township ordinances, Fitzgerald said.
The structure would remain the same while the interior would undergo major renovations, he said.
Stamelos said he plans to keep the location’s liquor license which keeps the site under control of the New Jersey Division of Alcohol Beverage Control.

“I’m not that concerned about it being out on the White Horse Pike like this,” Coppola said. “But I’d like to ensure that strip clubs can’t be located just anywhere in the township.”

… Even the New York Times filed an open-records request to see my schedule and phone records. The most persistent pursuer of this rumor, though, was the Rupert Murdoch-owned New York Post. On a number of occasions the Post contacted my press secretary, Gary Tuma, telling him it was close to running a story saying it was me and asking if I would like to comment. We replied “no comment.” Why didn’t I vehemently deny the story? Because I knew that I had never gone to a prostitute or even paid for sex and if they published a story saying that I had, well, I always wanted to own a newspaper, especially the Post, which was a great newspaper when it was owned by Dorothy Schiff when I was growing up. I would either own it or it would make me a very rich man.

While I think that itâs glaringly obvious that their nightlife and subsequent substance consumption rituals had something to do with the organizationâs decision to get rid of them, itâs important to put that idea in perspective. Mike Richards isnât season sevenâs version of Vinny Chaseâbringing bags of cocaine into hospitals and keeping company with porn stars (Well, at least not the drugs in hospitals part). Itâs not like these guys were the â86 Metsâgoing on coke binges and being banned from airlines. They werenât getting arrested with prostitutes and heavy narcotics or stabbing each other in the neck with scissors like the Cowboys of the 1990s. Hell, they certainly werenât as bad as Phillyâs own âMacho Rowâ back in â93. Sure, those guys brought home an NL pennant, but it definitely wasnât achieved while adhering to a strict code of moral conduct (See Dykstra, Lenny).

The interviews come with the case against Strauss-Kahn in limbo after Manhattan prosecutors raised doubts about the housekeeper’s overall credibility. They said July 1 she had lied about her life story and wasn’t consistent about what she did right after Strauss-Kahn allegedly attacked her in his suite. The disclosures have prompted her attorney, Kenneth Thompson, to criticize prosecutors publicly and press them to continue their case. Diallo told Newsweek she wants Strauss-Kahn held accountable, and she was going public to tell a story she said had never wavered. “It never changed. I know what this man do to me,” she told the magazine, adding that she wanted to counter what she felt were misleading portrayals of her.
“Because of him they call me a prostitute,” said Diallo, who has sued the New York Post over stories in which anonymous sources said she sold sex for money. The newspaper has said it stands by its reporting.

… We don’t want more teddy bears,” says Atiba Kwesi, aka Jesse Johnson, released 19 months ago after 27 years behind bars for armed robbery. “You see that? R.I.P. That’s the slogan in our community.”
These men are not exactly a Kiwanis Club composite sketch: three former prisoners, age 25 to 51, and Gunnery Sgt. Jamal Robinson, a Marine. But thanks to their presence, drug dealers have left the block, and a homemade wooden basketball hoop that kids are taking shots on has been built along the street — right where Purnell was killed.
“We’re geared to getting the violence down. Our building is like the rec center for the community,” says Starks. But, he says, “We’re not getting much help from the city,” with most funds going to what Starks calls politically connected “poverty pimps” rather than neighborhoods.
Looks like Galloway Township, New Jersey will be welcoming a new Gentlemen’s Club to the area.
The club, which owner Perry Stamelos promises to be “high-scale,” will replace the Vienna Inn, a restaurant and banquet facility, on West White Horse Pike, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
“The objective here is to have something high-scale. Not a strip club with totally nude performances,” Attorney for the Stamelos, Michael Daley, tells the Press.
Stamelos says that because the site already has a liquor license he doesn’t intend on losing, he’s fully prepared to follow the regulations of the Alcohol Beverage Control, according to the paper.
One regulation? All breasts and genitalia must be covered (sorry, pasties and nude garments don’t count).
Touching is not allowed either — dancer and clients must keep their hands to themselves.
Philadelphia Escorts: Philly Prisons Less Populated
July 21, 2011
According to a Philly.com report, prison population in Philadelphia has dropped dramatically in the past few years. This is a bit impressive considering that the city’s population is up. Philly.com points out, “The number of inmates peaked at 9,787 in January 2009, and fell to below 7,700 this spring, before rising to 8,048 in June, according to the report by the Pew Charitable Trusts.”
The reason for the drop in population? “Changes implemented by District Attorney Seth Williams, who took office in January 2010, played a part. Now, prosecutors take a closer look at evidence to determine what can be proven in court before filing charges, thus avoiding more serious charges that may not be backed up by evidence.” That, of course, combined with the change in marijuana laws and the accelerated misdemeanor program, which states:
Defendants charged with nonviolent misdemeanors such as minor drug possession, retail theft and prostitution can have their cases heard in a police-district courtroom within 10 days of their arrest. If they agree to community service and pay a fine, the case will not go to trial and the arrest may be expunged.
Philadelphia Strip Clubs: Big and tall tales

Instead, Oakerson will be digging into the dark recesses of his mental vault for his American Storyteller one-man show, bringing back his wildest occupational hazard tales from his time working children’s parties by day and chauffeuring strippers and escorts at night—for the same company. “Those stories are more drawn out than your average joke,” he says. “They’re so long that I was really excited telling them the first few times, then I spent the next few weeks after that refining them, finding the best way to tell them. But eventually, if you tell them enough times within the same four walls to the same people—as I was in New York—there’s no point in bringing them back again until you hit the road and get re-invigorated.”

He’s confident when it comes to engaging in funny repartee with audience members, or knocking them down a peg as he sees fit. Oakerson’s 13-year resume has seen him win over tough crowds, including his early days donning Fubu jerseys and pandering to bl …
COLLINGDALE — A Collingdale firefighter was busted for allegedly soliciting sex from a man walking along MacDade Boulevard last week — less than one month after pleading guilty to masturbating in front of a woman in a Walgreen’s parking lot.
Joseph Phillips, 48, who is on probation for the previous incident at Walgreen’s, was arrested Tuesday. He is charged with two counts each of harassment by lewd and threatening language and stalking after the victim positively identified him from a photo array as the man who offered him money for sex, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
Phillips, of the 400 block of Pusey Avenue, was in a tan Ford Explorer on July 12 when he drove past the victim repeatedly while making sexual advances, according to the affidavit written by Detective Daniel Leicht.
