Philadelphia Escorts: Time for French soccer to move on
August 20, 2010
Therefore, at the first sign of trouble, the players turned on their manager because they knew that he was gone at the end of the World Cup anyway.
Anelka is right-on with his assessment that the suspensions are “a charade not to lose face,” because right now French football needs all the help it can get in trying to restore a tattered image.
Not only did France endure the embarrassment of its team boycotting training, but they also had to watch as Les Bleus managed to earn just one point from their three group stage matches, leaving them in last place in Group A.
A sex scandal involving an underage prostitute and three national team players – Ribery, Karim Benzema, and Sidney Govou – also made for some interesting tabloid reading prior to the World Cup.

Arrested Wednesday were six women and three men who were charged with prostitution and criminal solicitation. The men were driving the women and picking them up from their appointments, police said.

Lt. Charles Green, commander of Citywide Vice, said that prostitution at airport hotels “appears to be rather extensive” and that it sometimes becomes violent. If a prostitute sees a client as an “easy mark,” she or her pimp may rob or assault the man once he is in a compromising position, Green said.

In December, Kalif Lewis, 26, a “john,” shot to death Tyre West, 28, a “pimp,” at the Residence Inn near the airport, police said. Lewis had accused a prostitute of stealing $100 from him beyond the $100 he paid for her services, and when West came to the prostitute’s aid, Lewis shot him to death, according to police.

Police arrested six women and three men, most of whom are from Pennsylvania. The men were driving the women and picking them up from their appointments, the Daily News story says. They were charged with prostitution and criminal solicitation.
According to Lt. Charles Green, head of the city’s vice unit, prostitution at airport hotels “appears to be rather extensive” and it can be violent. “If a prostitute sees a client as an ‘easy mark,’ she or her pimp may rob or assault the man once he is in a compromising position,” the paper says.
For example, in December, Kalif Lewis, 26, a john, shot to death alleged pimp Tyre West, 28, at the Residence Inn near the airport, the article says. Philadelphia Adult Entertainment: UD women face prostitution raps in airport hotel crackdown
August 20, 2010
PHILADELPHIA — Two Upper Darby women were among nine people arrested in connection with an airport hotel prostitution ring, police said.
Philadelphia Police Vice Squad made the arrests Wednesday after an investigation that lasted several months.
Six alleged prostitutes were arrested along with three men who were described as drivers, according to Sgt. Joseph Lanciano.
A number of robberies, aggravated assaults and even one homicide have been linked to prostitution at airport hotels, Lanciano said. In 2009, a pimp was killed during a confrontation at a hotel.
The alleged prostitutes used Craigslist, Backpage and other means to advertise for clients, Lanciano said.
Among those arrested were Christine P. Hunter, 21, of the 800 block of Windemere Avenue, Drexel Hill, and Sherri Perkins, 23, of the 4000 block of Ellendale Road, Drexel Hill.
CAMDEN A child sex trafficker pleaded guilty Thursday to transporting two minor girls across state lines in support of a prostitution enterprise he ran in Atlantic City, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.
Javon Gordon, 28, a.k.a. “Teflon,” of Atlantic City, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Robert B. Kugler to two counts of transporting minors across state lines to work as prostitutes for him.
Gordon admitted that from September 2007 until July 2008, he operated a prostitution enterprise in and around Atlantic City. Gordon acted as a “pimp,” employing both minor girls and adult women to work for him as prostitutes. He admitted to controlling the activities of the women and girls working for him, including requiring them to give him any money they made from performing sexual acts on customers.

Philadelphia Adult Entertainment: Nine Arrested in Connection with CraigsList Prostitution Ring
August 20, 2010
… Many are attributed to prostitution rings working the airport hotels.”
Lieutenant Charles Green, commanding officer of citywide vice, had undercover officers move in:
“We went down to one of the hotels, which I won’t name, because we don’t want to compromise the investigation, and we contacted a number of website advertisements on Craigslist, Backpage.com, an escort service listed in the City Paper.”
Six women and three male companions, described by police as pimps, were arrested for soliciting, prostitution and conspiracy.
Police say ‘Johns’ have become ‘easy marks for violent crime.’ In one case last winter, a man was charged with shooting to death another man, alleged to be a pimp. Police say after his encounter with a woman, there was a dispute over lost money, and they got into an altercation over the transaction.
Philadelphia Adult Entertainment: Was the Philadelphia Eagles’ Todd Herremans on to something? – Jason Zinoman …
August 20, 2010
The writers clearly enjoy making their audience feel uncomfortable. The excess of gore and the violent sex are designed to shock. They haven’t recently introduced homosexuality, as Herremans would have it, although you could make the case that there has been something of a barrage lately. And this season, the show’s fluid sexuality has a pointed dramatic purpose that invites and even encourages this kind of gay panic.
We got a hint of this strategy in the first episode this year, during the dream sequence imagining sex between Bill and Sam, both straight hunks whose taste in women is no secret. Last week, what bothered Herremans was surely the sex between Talbot and Eric. Straight male audiences surely identified with the confident alpha dog Eric, perpetually surrounded by adoring topless strippers. It was a shock to hear him explain that, when he said it’s been a long time since he’s “done this,” he was referring to vampires, not men.
Violent acts including numerous robberies, assaults, and one homicide. Police say they are all linked to prostitution.
So, armed with phone numbers listed online, police executed a sting. They set up a series of rendezvous inside one unnamed hotel near Philadelphia International Airport yesterday.
“We sent an undercover officer to make phone calls to these services at which time the females, along with their male companions, came out to these locations where they solicited the undercover officers sex for money at which time they were arrested,” Philadelphia Police Lieutenant Charles Green of the Citywide Vice Enforcement Unit said.
…
According to investigators, a common practice of prostitutes here is to lure their so-called clients into hotel rooms, calling in others once a ‘John’ is determined to be an easy mark.
…
Now, police are putting prostitutes and their prospective customers on notice.
