Philadelphia Escorts: SOUTH JERSEY: 10 snared in meth ring
August 31, 2009
Three local Outlaws — Jeffrey “Santa Claus” Taylor, 54, of Eastampton; Stephen “45″ Conner, also 54, of Burlington Township; and Michael Ivins, 47, of Southampton — are accused of dealing crystal meth. Another Outlaw — Ryan Sangiovanni, 40, of Mount Laurel — allegedly dealt cocaine, authorities said.
Investigators intercepted “numerous calls” between Hampton, who faces more than 450 charges, and Thomas “The Boss” Zaroff Jr. of Philadelphia, the alleged leader of the local Outlaws, according to Corbett.
In one conversation, Zaroff allegedly told Hampton and an associate “to assault and rob a member of the Pagans, a rival motorcycle gang,” as payback for a brawl at a Philadelphia tattoo convention in April.
Corbett said the Outlaws held weekly meetings, called “church,” to discuss criminal activities such as drugs, gambling and prostitution.
Philadelphia Strip Clubs: Big Fan Review (Eagles Fan Version)
August 31, 2009
The eerie Plaxico Burress angle. After the film ended, Robert Siegel showed up for some Q&A with the crowd, and someone asked him about the Plaxico Burress angle. While Siegel explained that the film was written and shot before Plax’s unfortunate handgun accident, he did admit that the parallels to the film are pretty awkward. The plot of Big Fan involves an incident at a strip club that earns the Giants’ star player a suspension and sends the G-Men’s season into a tailspin, culminating in a big game against the Eagles. Sound familiar? It gets better: the strip club in the film is the club where Antonio Pierce and Plax were hanging out earlier in the night (before the Latin Quarter), and the woman who plays Paul’s sister-in-law was working there when she was cast for the film (and claimed to have been at the club the night that Plax shot himself). Yup. Eerie.

WASHINGTON (AP) A crowd of current and former Kennedy staff members and congressional colleagues was waiting on the steps of the Capitol building to pay finalr respects, as the motorcade carrying Ted Kennedy’s casket stopped there on its way to Arlington National Cemetery.
Kennedy’s son Patrick told the staff members that they should be proud to be a part of his father’s legacy.
Earlier today in Boston, hundreds of mourners, led by President Barack Obama and three former presidents gathered for a Mass celebrating Kennedy’s life. Dozens of members of Congress and former congressmen, family, friends and associates were also there.

Philadelphia Escorts: Obama’s Bay State Problem

Patrick’s popularity, like Obama’s, is plunging. He’s running for a second term in 2010, but a Boston Globe poll this summer found that only 23% of the voters trust Patrick’s handling of the state’s economic problems. A poll of 400 likely voters by the Rappaport Center for Law and Public Service at Suffolk University Law School in Boston found that 47% of them believe that ethics have worsened in state government over the past 10 years. Asked to rate the level of ethics, 2% said they were excellent; 10% said they were good; 49%, fair; and 40% said they were poor.
This is extraordinary. Massachusetts voters are strongly Democratic and historically very forgiving. The legislature has 179 Democrats and 21 Republicans. Sen. Ted Kennedy kept being reelected despite his legendary foibles, and Rep. Barney Frank miraculously survived a scandal involving a male prostitute.

Philadelphia Escorts: Kennedys split morality and duty
August 30, 2009
It was all so strange and disillusioning that, when the first rumours hit the streets, it was thought to be the product of some politically motivated conspiracy. And some of the details seemed scarcely credible.
Even allowing for the energising potential of election victory, could the new president really have had intercourse with nearly half a dozen women other than his wife on the day of his inauguration? Did his brother-in-law, the actor Peter Lawford, really pimp openly for him with the acquiescence of the security services? Was Marilyn Monroe handed back and forth between John and Robert Kennedy and did their cavalier treatment contribute to her death? Was the president really sharing a mistress with a Mafia boss at the same time as his brother, the attorney-general, was supposed to be investigating the Mafia?

It was all so strange and disillusioning that, when the first rumours hit the streets, it was thought to be the product of some politically motivated conspiracy. And some of the details did seem scarcely credible. Even allowing for the energising potential of election victory, could the new president really have had intercourse with nearly half a dozen women other than his wife on the day of his inauguration? Did his brother-in-law, the actor Peter Lawford, really pimp more or less openly for him with the acquiescence of the security services? Was Marilyn Monroe handed back and forth like a parcel between John and Robert Kennedy and did their cavalier treatment contribute to her death? Was the president, John Kennedy, really sharing a mistress with a Mafia boss at the same time as the Attorney General, Robert Kennedy, was supposed to be investigating the Mafia?
So did other political leaders of their generation, from François Mitterrand to Willy Brandt. Bill Clinton must sometimes have wished he had been born 30 years earlier, and to the kind of inherited wealth that used to buy immunity. It goes without saying that one of his biggest supporters, as his lies about Monica Lewinsky began to unravel, was Ted Kennedy.
Generations of elite men took it for granted that power bestowed sexual privileges. Silvio Berlusconi is still doing it, allegedly paying for sex at sleazy parties, but he’s turned himself into a laughing stock and his wife certainly isn’t suffering in silence. I’m not arguing for puritanism in politics, for senators and MPs sticking to their wives (or husbands or civil partners – this is the modern world, after all) like glue. But there is now a rejection of double standards, a critique of a generation of politicians who paraded trophy wives while groping female reporters and waitresses, and – in the case of the priapic JFK – ordering in prostitutes by the bus load.

El Dorado County Superior Court Judge Doug Phimister ordered the couple, who face life in prison if convicted on all 29 charges, held without bail, the San Francisco Chronicle said.
Authorities allege Garrido and his wife kidnapped Dugard when she was 11 and kept her prisoner for 18 years. While a prisoner, Dugard was allegedly raped by Garrido and gave birth to two of his daughters.
The couple was arrested after Dugard, now 29, informed a state parole officer of her identity.
Police say they are searching Garrido’s home in Antioch, Calif., in an attempt to tie the sex slave suspect to a series of prostitute killings.
Contra Costa County police confirmed Garrido has been tabbed as a suspect in nearly 10 prostitute killings in the area of Pittsburg, Calif., in the 1990s.

Barber charged with promoting prostitution
TRENTON — A city barber has been indicted for allegedly asking customers to help him find a young girl to have sex with a 13-year-old boy.
Jonathan Catharino, 60, of Whittaker Avenue, is charged with promoting prostitution, luring/enticing a child and two counts of attempting to endanger the welfare of a child.
Prosecutors say they were tipped off in mid-February that Catharino was looking to hire a young girl to have sex with the boy. Catharino was arrested after prosecutors sent an undercover detective into the South Clinton barber shop and arranged for the encounter.
Catharino is free on $100,000 bail.
